Degas artwork

At CC, during Weeks 13-18 we study different Great Artists.  Week 17 was Degas, and we imitated his sense of blurry motion in his artwork.  The kids made a stencil and traced it several times on art paper, moving progressively across the page.  Then, they colored in the last outline.  Last, they washed it over with watered-down tempera paint.  Here are the end results.  (I just found these yesterday after cleaning a room in my house.  I don't typically keep artwork for very long, since I have a propensity for clutter, but I do take pictures and post them so I can have them forever).
