Remember the skit from Saturday Night Live, Lowered Expectations? Imagine that theme song playing in the background as you read this post. Sometimes its just easier to give the toddler her foodtray on the floor. Or, to stop making her get off of the table and sit on her bum in a chair. Sometimes, you just give up and say, "here, eat your applesauce on the table". And lest you think - "gee, her table looks clean. At least she has some standards...", I have included a full shot of the kitchen in the background while the toddler scoots across the table on her bum.
Besides, we've learned the hard way that if you leave something on the table, the toddler is going to toss it off, one by one. And she's got quite the throwing arm, and can launch at speeds faster than you can catch them.
