Homeschool Burn-out

Our monthly support meeting for our local homeschool group met last night. We had a dynamic and energetic guest speaker that gave us tips for breathing new life into our homeschool. She had an A-Z of great ideas, which will be posted on her blog. Rather than re-invent the wheel, I'll just link to it here.

We talked about causes of burn-out:
Interruptions (by kids and outside sources)
Arguing amongst siblings
Bad attitudes (kids and mom, too!)
Not knowing if we're doing enough, or what we should be doing

We also talked about how Mom's attitude can set the tone for the entire day! So try to have a good attitude, Mom;)

Be sure to check the Twisted Education blog daily for the next 26 days, because I know you'll be richly blessed by what our speaker shared with us. And don't forget to leave a comment! We homeschool blogging moms often think we're this voice in the wilderness, and that no one else hears it. We could have 200 new readers daily, but think that 0 people are reading if no one leaves a comment. The best way to encourage other homeschool mom bloggers is to leave a comment. Simple, but it goes a long way. If you don't have a google account, you can still leave an anonymous comment. Go blessed by Michele's tips, and thank her by leaving a comment.
